What ukulele should I buy?
If your are a fan of online shopping you can pick up a good deal with one of these brands. Although they are cheaper then you'll find in your local music shop it's still worth trying before you buy. I'd recommend trying out the different ukuleles at a music shop to see weather you prefer the standard size, soprano or something larger like the concert or tenor. Also the different types for string can make a noticeable difference to tone. Favorite amongst most players is, Aquila nylgut. The are easily recognisable by there white colour. A general rule of thumb is to spend £30-£60 or more on a soprano and £50-£90 or more on a concert when buying online. You can of course find some really cheap ukes online but be aware there are some duds out there. |
